Description
Office partition screens help reduce airborne transmission
Glazed office partition screens help create a barrier against close-range virus transmission - for example between adjacent queues. Perspex room dividers maintain clear visual contact while separating people from direct paths of airborne infection.
When used in a well ventilated space our freestanding 2m tall glazed partition screens can help offer protection between people who might otherwise be stood or seated close-by.
Perspex divider screen
Floor-standing perspex divider screens can be used in many places such as in open plan offices, to separate restaurant tables, or at service counters and check-in desks.
Plexiglass or Perspex screens have become generic names used to refer to clear plastic screens. Our freestanding room divider screens are glazed with PET, an optically clear material which is more economical than polycarbonate or acrylic, but equally effective as a barrier. Our divider screens are also light to move around as the glazing is only 1mm thick, but well supported in an elegant, stable all-round aluminium frame.
Features of double-width and triple screens
2-panel or 3-panel sets supplied with freestanding feet (to position screens independently) plus link-up fittings to allow the 1m wide panels to be connected together in a straight line to make a continuous room divider.
Assemble and re-configure the screens as you wish.
Office divider screens are only intended for indoor use. Three linked panels sets (i.e. with support feet at each end) may lack stability in a bustling environment.
The panels are supplied pre-assembled and pre-glazed - connecting the stabiliser feet and/or link plates is quick and straightforward.
Each divider panel is 1m wide and 2m high. So the double and triple width sets create 2m or 3m long freestanding divider screens.
The link plates connect panels in a straight line. We offer a different solution when a hinged-panel partition is required.
Connector plates
The connector plates supplied with the sets on the page come as a pair. The thinner gauge plate is used to connect the tops. The thicker plate with rubber foot connects the bottom members of adjacent screens. When the link plates are used the corresponding feet are not required. They can be set aside for a possible later change in configuration.
Connector plates cannot be combined with castors.
Delivery considerations
This product is not heavy to pick up or move but it is very large. We deliver using a specialist courier.
The screen cannot be returned using a standard parcel delivery company or transported in a car. Please refer to the Delivery and Returns tab for more information.
Dimensions
There is only one size of panel: 2m high x 1m wide. Screens can be stood in a line, the ends butting up to one another, to create longer protective barriers or connected using link plates (instead of the intermediate stabiliser feet)
The overall height of the screen is 2006 mm and the overall width is 1000 mm.
The thickness of the PET panel is 1 mm. It is supplied with protective film on each face. This must be peeled off during assembly otherwise the panels will appear opaque and dull.
The feet are 400 mm long, centred under the screen. So they protrude out either side of the screen by approx 20 cm. This provides sufficient stability for normal traffic areas indoors, away from automatic doors which can cause significant gusts of wind. The screens are not intended for use outdoors.
The vertical uprights frame members are 40 mm deep by 38 mm wide (viewed from the front).
The feet are made from 6 mm thick steel (powder coated) and supplied with protective black plastic pads on the undersides.
Special considerations for floor screens
Floor standing protective screens are boxed individually. The box is very large (but light to carry) as the unit is shipped pre-assembled (apart from the feet). We recommend getting them delivered to the final destination - they are too large to transport in a car. It is vital to retain the original packaging until the units have been assembled and checked.
When buying in quantity we ship the boxes on a pallet: 9 boxes fit on one pallet. You do not need pallet handling facilities. The driver will use a tail lift vehicle to get the pallet to the curbside. You can easily open the outer protective packaging and carry the individual boxes indoors.
