The 25mm wide aluminium frame border has a smart silver finish, with no sharp corners. These high-quality A2, A3 and A4 snap frames with safety tipped corners making them safer for walls in busy places such as corridors, classrooms and on room doors.
How to change the poster in a snap frame
Simply open up the front of the frame and insert your sign behind the clear plastic cover sheet. Posters can be changed easily without removing the frame from the wall or door etc.
Easy ways to fit your snap frames to a wall
SCREW: The rear of the frame is moulded out of durable rigid plastic. Screw holes are provided for concealed wall fixing. (Screws and wall plugs are not supplied).
STICK: On smooth surfaces such as doors, double-sided tape may be used (Order 1 roll/10 A4 frames or 7 A3 frames).
HANG: Opti A4 and A3 snap frames can conveniently be wall hung on a picture pin, either portrait or landscape. The pin or nail is hidden behind the frame - no picture cord is required.
A separate free-standing A4 version is available for countertop use with a folding leg.
What is a safety snap frame?
Standard snap frames sometimes have a sharp corner where the frame opens - Opti frames have a smooth tipped corner.
Safe to use where the general public might come into contact with or brush past the frame.
Where would you use an Opti frame?
Anywhere that there is a risk of someone coming into contact with your sign, either on a wall or screwed to a door. Schools and colleges use Opti frames in corridors and in toilets where there is an increased risk of contact.
Spring-loaded sides - simply snap open for an easy change of signs or notices.
Suitable for Portrait or Landscape installation.
PET anti-glare poster cover sheet included.
Grey plastic rear moulding provides extra rigidity.
Pre-drilled for wall fixing.
Screws and wall plugs are included with A4, A3, A2 and A1 Opti Frames.
A4 and A3 Opti frames can be hung on a single pin or nail thanks to a special central suspension point moulded into the rigid back panel in both the long and short sides - i.e. for portrait or landscape display.
A4 Opti Frames are ideal for fixing onto room doors - in conference suites to identify what's going on in each room, in care homes where dementia patients can recognise a familiar picture to help with orientation, or on pub toilet doors to display advertisements or promote forthcoming events. These are just a few examples! The possibilities are endless.
Note: A4 tabletop snap frame is also available in the Opti Frame range. It has a fold-out counter stand that can be used either landscape or portrait.

Hang Opti frames on a picture hook
Smaller Opti snap frames up to and including A3 size can be hung on a single picture pin nailed into the wall.
The back of the frame provides this facility whether the frame is to be mounted portrait or landscape
Hanging a snap frame on a picture hook, nail or tack only requires a hammer.
Picture hooksand tacks are not supplied. They are available from hardware stores.
Fix Opti frames using screws
The usual way to permanently fix Opti frames is with screws.
Screws and plastic wall plugs are included with every snap frame we supply
The wall plugs are for use with masonry walls such as brick and most plastered walls
When screwing onto wood the plugs are not needed
A drill and screwdriver are required for screw fixing (and we recommend using a spirit level and tape measure to ensure the frames are properly aligned). If in doubt please consult a proficient DIY or trades person.
Fix Opti frames using adhesive tape
Rolls of double-side adhesive tape are available as an accessory item.
If double-side adhesive tape is used to fix frames (in place of the screws supplied) please check the smoothness and suitability of the wall.
Tiles and similar surfaces may be suitable provided they are cleaned thoroughly before application.
Tape fixing is not suitable for surfaces with a non-stick coating or porous/foamed surfaces.
We recommend that tape is used around the full perimeter of the frame.
Larger frames are normally best screwed. A residue of foam tape will be left on the wall or door after removal of the frame and the frame will usually be hard to get off.
