Now with the help of AI’s amazing image creation capabilities, here are a few imagined versions of some of our pets! Just a bit of fun to illustrate the lighter side of Green Magic – with an educational twist.
We’re a family business. Green Magic Company, the business behind Sign-Holders.co.uk, was established in 1995. Nowadays Stuart is in charge, and he’s married to Lisa, our HR manager. Stu and Lisa love their three pugs! Of all the breeds who look cute when dressed up, pugs lend themselves particularly well to cosplay.
So we start with a virtual representation of their trio: Gilbert playing the dashing D’Artagnan, Luna as herself (i.e. a Diva) and Wilbur echoing bold Robin Hood.
Please note: Their real-life pugs are even more endearing than these AI versions.
Next up are Hannah’s two cats.
Hannah, our Business Development Manager, is a third-generation family member in the company. She loves her horse Apollo (who has so far escaped the digital makeover treatment) and her cats Ninja and Rally.
Today we feature an artificial intelligence version of Ninja in fetching punk attire, and Rally in his favourite real-world location, the kitchen sink. We visualize his AI alter-ego Sir Walter Rally, here bedecked with a handsome Elizabethan ruff.
So are we a bit crazy? We’d prefer to say ‘imaginative’. Hopefully if you call you will find us friendly and approachable – whether you’re looking for advice about our products or need an update on an order. Certainly we enjoy being creative and caring, and we’d like to think that shows in the way we run our business.
OK. Back to silliness...
Last culprit singled out for the artificial intelligence makeover is our founder Nigel’s dog. Ernie is a Labrador who was Head of Security at Green Magic, until he retired (along with Nigel; although he’s not as retired as he should be! – says his wife Jo).
Unfortunately you need to be pretty old to ‘get’ this AI representation of Ernie.
For younger readers (age below 60) there was a novelty UK No. 1 hit called ‘Ernie (the Fastest Milkman in The West)’ recorded by legendary comedian Benny Hill. It still gets played today from time to time and it reflects the innuendo-rich humour of 1970’s Britain.
So what is this AI image-creation malarkey? Essentially, via artificial intelligence and some very smart programming all manner of images can be generated in the blink of an eye by entering a suitable prompt such as ‘create an image of a black and white cat wearing a punk outfit’.
Here, we are using one such programme called DALL-E to generate fun images. However, there is a serious side to it. In our business, creating original graphics for professional posters and notices is often needed. So we are busy developing clever ways to make use of this exciting new technology, for the benefit of our customers.
